![]() ![]() One thing I really appreciate about this over both of the Steel Sky games is that you spend an almost equal amount of time in the Dunes searching for an alternate power source before going to Metropol. Unfortunately, he only has an emergency generator that won't last long, so he needs to find out where the robot went and recover the power source or he, and his robot buddy Crispin will die. Primordia is the story of Horatio Nullbuit, a robot who is holing up in and trying to fix an airship called the Uniic, when one day a mysterious robot cuts right through the hull of his airship and steals his power core. Thankfully, this game is a massive improvement on Steel Sky in just about every way. It has a similar premise of a post-apocalyptic world where one man from the wasteland has to go to one of the last known hubs of civilization, which happens to be a massive metropolitan city that was previously at war with other cities and is divided into multiple levels of height based on function, and must deal with the computer that has taken over the place while uncovering details he never knew about his past, collaborating with a robot buddy that he built and a female dissenter. ![]() ![]() Cause honestly, in a lot of ways, this feels like a fan remake of Beneath a Steel Sky. I actually played this one a long time ago back before it even had achievements and I wasn't too hot on it then, but it definitely helps having played not only more adventure games in general but specifically those that influenced this one. But with plot twists and new information leaked throughout the story, the game should read “Point and Click is back BABY!” just buy it and thank me later.Primordia is the fourth game published by Wadjet Eye rather than purely developed, with the development team actually being Wormwood studios, and it is definitely still a good one. look past the bland-looking colors and prepare to explore huge wastelands and bustling cities as you attempt to seek out your stolen power core. Yes, Crispin deserves his own spin-off game. ![]() They are classic characters who play well off each other. The game is worth it just for the interactions between Horatio and Crispin. Yes, some puzzles will annoy you and will seem impossible, but stick with it and try a new approach and it will come to you eventually. With the interaction being as high as it is with some excellent script writing, you can’t help but fall in love with the game’s charms. Constantly evaluate what you have done, and measured up against what you need to do. It’s one of those games where after playing a session, you have the puzzle you are stuck on replaying over and over in your head. So being able to go back once again is truly mouth-watering. I had so much fun with the game back when it first came out and couldn’t stop playing it back then.
